We would like to see more training on technology for the Design Team. Help schools find funding to get the technology tools they need (ipod touch, ipad, laptops). Design team members will then go back to their schools to train staff on how to use these tools. Utilize the students’ expertise in decision making.

iPad Workshop
Integrating particular apps into the classroom
Continue the partnership with & hearing the voice of students
Using Podcasts in the classroom
Identify a curriculum to build/integrate into an iPad/iPod
Small groups (within district) working together to create units in a particular subject area that incorporate iPod/iPad use

We would like to see doc cams for each school to allow teachers to use apps in classes. Another idea would be to have in-services for faculty to show applications for ipods and ipads. These should be simple ideas that helps convince the staff that these are the tools of the future. Along with this, funding for ipods or ipads would be helpful in purchasing this technology for our schools.

We are ready to take the step into Podcasting, but what about other students, faculty members, etc.? Maybe a mega-workshop is necessary? Let’s try to get teachers involved with these Podcasts to save time. So many students and teachers miss school for activities and conferences, and by creating Podcasts in advance for other students to view could take learning to another level.
Jeff, Chris and Rhonda Insights:
Get more teachers involved in this process.
Teacher and/or student makes a presentation to an audience: teachers, School Board members, community members.
Capitalize on "reverse mentoring".
Provide opportunities to develop online learning opportunities for students (ie: podcasting, wikis, blogs).
Build a repository of "best apps" for education, etc.--sharing that with all CTE and K-12 Academic educators.
Explore possibilities with iPads and textbooks--and share with district stakeholders.
Encouraged teacher/student teams to present at NETA and/or Summer Tech Institute 2010-11.
Have the 2010-11 participating students complete a collaborative project together--and present on the 2011 Follow-Up day.
